Getting back to it! Sorry for the delay!

Ok, Ok! So I didn't do so well keeping you up to date on the Late Fall Season of 2008. So here is a quick summary.

In November we visited Evansville, Indiana for the Veteran's Invitational Tournament. We played Westfield Select SC (tie 1-1); WKYFC (loss 1-0); FC Evansville Orange (Win 3-0). We did not advance on to the finals. This was a disappointing tournament for the girls. But understanding that the team is very new and had not played together we decided they just had to learn each others style along with what Coach Larry expects of them.

Then on to Georgia and the Forsyth Fusion Adidas Fall Classic, the weekend before Thanksgiving. The team seemed to come alive. We took the tournament in a 4-0 sweep. We beath Lazer '94 Girls Premier 5-1, CFC East Lady Chiefs Gold 94 3-1, Forsyth Fusion 94 Gold 1-0 and in the Championship game, we were able to hold the Lady Cannons 94 Gold off for a a 2-0 win. What a weekend! Coach Larry told the girls it only took them 600 miles to find a championship team, but we finally did.

Everyone began looking forward to a great season. This Spring we will be playing in the United Cup Classic in Louisville, March 7&8, the Dynamo Round Robin in Indy, March 21 & 22, the Louisville Cup (our home tournament), April 18 & 19 and then you can look for us at the Kentucky State Cup, Memorial Day weekend.
